Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design - TCOLE 2103 - North Texas Crime Prevention Assn

CPTED - TCOLE 2103 - North Texas Crime Prevention Association This course looks at environmental design and usage from several perspectives. Those include the initial physical design of the building which is helpful to those who are currently planning to build an individual building or an entire campus. It looks at more in-depth detail that can be done with structures that are already built where, for nominal investments of time and costs, end-uses will have a much safer surrounding.

CPTED - TCOLE 2103 - North Texas

Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) is one of the most requested topics for law enforcement personnel today. This course looks at environmental design and usage from several perspectives. Those include the initial physical design of the building which is helpful to those who are currently planning to build an individual building or an entire campus. It looks at more in-depth detail that can be done with structures that are already built where, for nominal investments of time and costs, end-uses will have a much safer surrounding. The effects of lighting, landscaping, routine maintenance, fences, locks and similar items are reviewed for the most appropriate and effective placement, design and use. Finally, the course looks at how activities can be moved, or how seating, planters, and similar items of decoration can be utilized to alter usage to that which is more in line with what owners, users and law enforcement personnel desire.

Classes are going to be M-F, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Students will receive 24 Hours TCOLE for Class 2103 after completion of this course.
