CPII - TCOLE 2102 - North Texas Crime Prevention Association
The North Texas Crime Prevention Association (NTCPA) is sponsoring the Crime Prevention II course which will be held at the Garland Police Department Training Room.
This 40 hour course is the second block of three to complete to become a Certified Crime Prevention Specialist.
All Law Enforcement personnel will receive 40 hours credit for TCOLE 2102 at the completion of this class.
Class times will be Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The course includes the following topics:
§ Place Oriented Problem Solving
§ Loss Prevention and Shoplifting
§ Safes and Vaults
§ Business Crime Prevention
§ Robbery Prevention
§ Work Place Violence
§ Hotel Security
Participants will receive hands-on training and will conduct a security/vulnerability assessment of a commercial property. The assessment will be conducted during the day as well as at night. Attendees will further be required to research, develop and present a community oriented public safety presentation designed to develop public speaking skills.
This course is open to all law enforcement agencies and both sworn and non-sworn personnel or volunteers that support local community crime prevention and/or community policing community-based initiatives.
